Product Functions

Velocimeter

Laser-based sensor capable of making multiple line-of-sight measurements used to determine the vehicle's surface relative velocity vector

Altimeter

Precision altimetry without RF vulnerability utilizing low-power coherent lasers that provide sub-meter surface-relative altitude that is not affected by existing cellular spectrum or other RF signals

Inertial navigation

Precision velocity measurements corrects IMU sensor errors for superior navigational performance within a GPS denied environment for extended periods of time

Vision based navigation

When added, provides enhanced effectiveness of the navigation solution by delivering absolute location, heading, and obstacle avoidance capability

Terrain contour matching

Terrain Contour Matching (TERCOM) uses sensor data from the altimeter to periodically provide an absolute location fix for long term navigation without GNSS signals

Science Behind SurePath

SurePathrevolutionizes navigation with surface-relative velocity

SurePathis a complete INS system and so much more.  SurePathperformance derives from the patented use of lasers, measuring a vehicle’s surface-relative velocity in real time and translating that into precise, reliable navigation data

SurePath's proprietary navigation filter uses real-time velocity vectors to correct the IMU sensor errors

Measurements are made from the vehicle against the reference frame of the surface

Surface relative velocity is measured in real time and is a vector not a scalar.

Surface-relative velocity provides increased navigation accuracy for 1-DOF, 3-DOF and 6-DOF vehicles.

Enables navigation without reliance on external satellite signals

Fully self-contained navigation solution

Enables new CONOPS for defense and commercial applications

For avionics, provides dissimilar physics for system resiliency in critical functions

Affordable multi-use device with performance that is superior to even navigation grade inertial solutions

Real-time vector velocity information enables SurePath's navigation filter to correct inertial sensor errors

With the IMU sensor errors corrected, SurePath's navigation state estimates provide excellent position accuracy for long periods of time without GNSS signals

SurePath-grade INS settings offer the highest level of INS performance, above Navigation-grade and suitable for dead reckoning

SurePath-grade INS functionality, combined with VBN and TERCOM upgrades, offers a triple redundant and extended precision navigation capability regardless of GNSS signals

Versus Lidar – SurePath returns the range to and the relative speed of the strike point with each measurement, whereas Lidar only provides the distance to the strike point

Versus Radar – SurePath offers more than an order of magnitude higher precision velocity and altitude data without concerns of measurement ambiguities or target clutter while significantly reducing the required mass, size, and power

differentiators

Differentiators for the Real World

SurePathis immune to RF interference and GPS jamming, does not itself emit a detectable signal all while delivering superior performance

High Confidence Measurements

Using a coherent receiver provides high signal to noise measurements in under a millisecond for fast, high confidence measurements for safe and reliable decision making.

Non-RF

RF waves can be easily intruded by hackers and in turn be spoofed or blocked by any low-cost, readily available transmitter

Undetectable

Operating well below shortwave infrared background levels, delivers an extremely low probability of intercept and a low probability of detection

Non jammable

Most commercial platforms are no match for the latest jamming technology but the SurePathproduct offering cannot be jammed or spoofed regardless of the external threat or environment allowing the platform to complete its mission without any interruption

Redundant

Sensor delivers a higher level of reliability and resiliency to the vehicle control system

Autonomy

SurePath is a critical component for autonomous and semi-autonomous aerial platforms

AUTONOMOUS CONVOY

SurePathis being integrated into military platforms in support of the warfighter to permit increased carrying capacity and mission support. Ensuring a higher level of protection for the soldier.

UAVS

SurePathallows a UAV to be used for reconnaissance, surveillance, and long-distance strikes with greater accuracy and precision than manned aircraft. Keeping the warfighter out of areas that may be too dangerous to enter.

Planetary Landing

Precise measurements to ensure safe and accurate landings. Operationally, with sustainable use missions, the lander must land at the exact target spot and not on top of the Moon base

On-Orbit Operations

Axiom: Precise measurements to ensure safe and proper dockings in space. It is a bad day when the spacecraft completely misses the target or bangs into it instead of softly docking or grappling the target

Lunar Rovers

Precision navigation for lunar rovers where GPS or other navigational aids are unavailable
